Liberton High School

Pupil Leadership

Our pupil leadership team meet regularly with the Head Teacher and the S5-S6 PSL. Our House Captains chair the Pupil House Councils, which consist of pupils from each House Class across the school. They share the minutes and actions with the Headteacher and jointly agree on next steps. Our Pupil Leadership Team also visits assemblies to present inputs to younger learners, and they visit our Parent Council meetings to share their leadership work with parents and carers.

In addition, all prefects take forward leadership through being part of a leadership group from the below:

  • Equalities Leaders
  • Learning and Teaching Leaders
  • Pupil Health and Wellbeing Leaders
  • Wider Community Partnerships and Events Leaders

PUPIL HOUSE COUNCILS

We also have House Councils which contain representatives from each year group from S1-S6. Each of our three pupil house councils meet monthly to discuss a range of matters linked to school life. Each house council also undertakes an ongoing piece of self-evaluation throughout the year, based in their chosen them from How Good is OUR School?
