TEENAGE BOOSTER VACCINATIONS
Consent packs for vaccinations from NHS Lothian are out now being distributed to pupils in S3 (and in S4 – S6 who have not yet received their vaccinations).
Please read the letter in the consent pack, discuss the vaccinations with your child and return completed and signed consent forms to school by 17.12.2021.
Musical Theatre Club. If you are interested in script writing, directing or composing the music and storyline for a musical then come and join the newly formed Musical Theatre Club. Anyone from S1-S6 is welcome. The club will be on Thursdays after school until 4:15pm in Miss Wells’ room in music.
SCOTTISH YOUTH PARLIAMENT Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) is the democratic voice of Scotland’s young people. Young people aged 14-25 can stand as a candidate in SYP elections to represent you and make positive changes for young people in Scotland. SYP elections are held in Scotland every two years and will take place between the 8th and 21st of November 2021. This year, Aliyah Sattar (S5), will be standing as a candidate in the election. You will hear more information about how to vote during your Guidance period and in Social Subjects and RMPS. Please user your vote to help make positive changes for you in Scotland.

ECO GROUP – Tuesday Lunchtime
Come along to CDT 5 and join the ECO GROUP to look at ways we can better our school and planet. All are welcome 🙂
Monday after school until 4:30pm there will be Music Club. An opportunity/space for any pupil wanting to get in a little extra practice time, get some supported practice or form their own music group and meet other keen musicians.
Choir on Wednesday lunch from 1:15pm in the school hall.
Ceilidh Band on Thursday lunch from 1:15pm again in the school hall.
There will be a string orchestra starting up on a Monday lunch, but the violin and cello teachers will announce when this is going to start again.
A note to any staff wanting to join in with activities: Please let us know if you are planning to come along so we can arrange the space appropriately to meet all mitigations. All staff members will have to observe 2m social distancing during rehearsals.

Diversity club will be running every Wednesday at lunchtime in Business room 2.
A board with a full list of all the lunchtime and after school extracurricular clubs is now on display at the top of the Music stairs. Make time to go have a look and see if anything catches your interest!
Art club will run on a Tuesday at lunchtimes. Come along to the Art & Design department to enter competitions, build on your creativity, and share & improve your skills! All welcome, bring your lunch!
